The Analyst analyses the UR specified in the URD (took as Base Line) and extracts the software requirements (SR) associated with each UR. A UR can have one or more SR associated. The SR are requirements specified in a technical language, they are oriented to the development team.

The responsability to obtain the SR belong to the Analyst, but if necessary the Analyst should work with other team members (Designer, Developer, Tester, Project Manager) to achieve a better definition of each SR associated with UR.

When the Analyst does the “translation” from  UR to SR, if the UR it is not sufficently clear on, the Analyst should have to contact the Cleint to clarify all the details.
