I am full professor at the Departamento de Ciencias de la Computación(DCC), Facultad de Ciencias Físicas y Matemáticas(FCFM), Universidad de Chile, where I am working since 1986. I obtained the bachelor's and master's degrees in Computer Science at Universidad de Chile in 1984 and 1987, respectively. I received the doctor's degree in Technischen Wissenschaften at the Eidgenoessischen Technischen Hochschule, Zürich (ETH-Zürich), Switzerland in 1993.
