I have always worked on computer networks, beginning with the first international connection to the UUCP network, using telephone links and X.25 to inria in France and seismo in the USA. At this time (1995) we registered the .CL top-level domain.

In 1992, when Chile was connected to the Internet, we coordinated the primary server (which was operating in uunet.uu.net) and during that year we transfered it to our server ns.dcc.uchile.cl, ensuring its operation since then. An overview of this period was presented at INET'93 in a paper written with Ricardo Baeza-Yates and Patricio Poblete.

Currently, I am interested on Video over IP transmission.
