Conclusions

QoS in the Internet may never happen
Packet loss is a reality and will continue
Bandwidth is not fixed, and will continue to expand
Multimedia encoders must distribute information on many packets
Decoders must be able to retrieve information from a part of them
Try to keep the delay cost at a minimum
Try to keep CPU requirements low (cell phones?)
More research is needed in multimedia compression tolerating information loss
Constant Bandwidth compression is not important now
