This special issue has brought together cutting-edge research that showcases
the pivotal role of information fusion techniques in realizing the vision of
ubiquitous computing. The six accepted papers have made significant
contributions to addressing various challenges in this domain, ranging from
activity and context recognition to multimodal data fusion, complex situation
identification, and efficient data representation. The works presented here
highlight the importance of effectively integrating and reasoning over data
from diverse sources, modalities, and contexts to enable intelligent,
responsive, and personalized computing experiences.
